El presente artículo tiene como objetivo mostrar que, de acuerdo con Aristóteles, los seres humanos tenemos a lo largo de toda la vida tanto libertad de acción como la posibilidad de cambiar nuestro carácter. Para mostrar esto, el texto tiene dos partes. La primera muestra que nuestras disposiciones morales nos inclinan a realizar acciones de la misma cualidad moral, pero que aún así es posible para nosotros realizar acciones opuestas a dichas disposiciones y que, gracias a esto, nosotros podemos emprender la tarea de modificar nuestro carácter. La primera muestra que nuestras disposiciones morales nos inclinan a realizar acciones de la misma cualidad moral, pero que aún así es posible para nosotros realizar acciones opuestas a dichas disposiciones y que, gracias a esto, nosotros podemos emprender la tarea de modificar nuestro carácter. La segunda parte muestra cómo las personas, en tanto principios controladores de cosas que admiten estados opuestos, tienen la posibilidad de realizar en el mismo momento acciones alternativas, siendo esto justamente lo que denomino como 'libertad de acción'. This article aims at demonstrating that, according to Aristotle, humans have freedom of action as well as the ability to change their character all throughout their life. In order to show this, this paper is divided in two parts. The first part shows that our moral dispositions incline us to perform actions of the same moral quality, but that it is still possible for us to perform actions with a moral quality opposite to those dispositions and, because of this, we can undertake the task of modifying our character. The second part shows how people, in as much as they are controlling principles of things that admit being otherwise, have in a single moment the possibility to perform alternative actions, this being precisely what I call 'freedom of action'.
