Sumario:
Los parámetros hematológicos y de química sanguínea en Amazona amazonica y Amazona ochrocephala, fueron medidos bajo condiciones de cautiverio en el CAV Torre 4 de CORPOCALDAS (Corporación Autónoma Regional de Caldas) en Manizales. Se tomaron en total 109 muestras de sangre para las dos especies, de las cuales se obtuvieron 49 para hemograma y 60 para química sanguínea. Las variables evaluadas para hemograma fueron: Hematocrito, Hemoglobina, Recuento Total de Eritrocitos, Volumen Corpuscular Medio (VGM), Concentración de Hemoglobina Corpuscular Media (CHCM), Recuento Leucocitario Total, Recuento Leucocitario Diferencial y Proteínas Totales; y para química sanguínea: Albúmina, Colesterol, Glucosa, Creatinina, Urea, Calcio, Fósforo y Globulin... Hematological and blood chemistry findings in Amazona amazonica and Amazona ochrocephala captive in the forest reserve Torre Cuatro Los parámetros hematológicos y de química sanguínea en Amazona amazonica y Amazona ochrocephala, fueron medidos bajo condiciones de cautiverio en el CAV Torre 4 de CORPOCALDAS (Corporación Autónoma Regional de Caldas) en Manizales. Se tomaron en total 109 muestras de sangre para las dos especies, de las cuales se obtuvieron 49 para hemograma y 60 para química sanguínea. Las variables evaluadas para hemograma fueron: Hematocrito, Hemoglobina, Recuento Total de Eritrocitos, Volumen Corpuscular Medio (VGM), Concentración de Hemoglobina Corpuscular Media (CHCM), Recuento Leucocitario Total, Recuento Leucocitario Diferencial y Proteínas Totales; y para química sanguínea: Albúmina, Colesterol, Glucosa, Creatinina, Urea, Calcio, Fósforo y Globulinas. Se observó que para la especie A. amazonica los valores de Hemoglobina, Recuento Eritrocitario, Eosinófilos, Proteínas Totales, Colesterol, Creatinina, Urea, Fósforo y Globulinas son superiores; y los valores de VGM, CHCM y Monocitos son inferiores. Para la especie de A. ochrocephala se encuentran niveles superiores en los valores de Hematocrito, Hemoglobina, Recuento Eritrocitario, Eosinófilos, Proteínas Totales, Albúmina, Colesterol, Glucosa, Fósforo y Globulinas; los valores de VGM y Basófilos se hallaron en niveles inferiores. The hematological and blood chemistry parameters in Amazona amazonica and Amazona ochrocephala were tested under captivity conditions in CAV Torre 4 of CORPOCALDAS (Autonomous Regional Corporation of Caldas) in Manizales. A total of 109 blood samples were taken for both species, from which 49 blood samples were used for a hemogram, while 60 blood samples were used for blood chemistry. The variables tested for hemogram were: Hematocrit, Hemoglobin, Erythrocytes Count, MCV, MCHC, Leukocytes Count, Differential Leukocytes Count and Protein Count; in blood chemistry the variables tested were: Albumin, Cholesterol, Glucose, Creatinine, Urea, Calcium, Phosphorus and Globulins. In A. amazonica the Hemoglobin, Erythrocytes Count, Eosinophilics, Proteins Count, Cholesterol, Creatinine, Urea, Phosphorus and Globulins values were higher,while the VGM, CHCM and Monocytes values were lower. In A. ochrocephala there are higher levels of: Hematocrit, Hemoglobin, Erythrocytes Count, Eosinophils, Proteins Count, Albumin, Cholesterol, Glucose, Phosphorus and Globulins; the VGM and Basophils values were lower.
