El artículo realiza una mirada crítica al Festival Internacional de Teatro de Manizales en su cumpleaños número 50. Procura desarrollar algunos puntos de vista que abarcan la relación del Festival con la ciudad, con la Universidad de Caldas, con los grupos locales y nacionales, además del vínculo personal del autor del artículo con este evento teatral. Es una reflexión que intenta explorar un tema tabú en el medio cultural de la ciudad, donde solo puede elogiarse o exaltarse de manera acrítica el efecto cultural del evento en la región, y donde existe una prohibición implícita en los medios y en las personas para emitir cualquier tipo de crítica que podría afectar a un festival que, al parecer, persiste como un milagro en la región.... It seeks to develop some points of view that cover the festival’s relationship with the city, with the University of Caldas, with local and national groups, as well as the personal link of the author of the article with this theatrical event. It is a reflection that seeks to explore a taboo subject in the cultural environment of the city, where only the cultural effect of the event in the region can be praised or exalted, and where there is an implicit prohibition on the media and people to broadcast any kind of criticism that could affect a festival that apparently persists as a miracle in the region.
