El presente texto es resultado de la investigación titulada “Análisis de la propuesta de Jürgen Habermas acerca del rol de la religión en la esfera pública. Tres casos de la jurisprudencia de la Corte Constitucional de Colombia”. Objetivo. En esta investigación se buscó determinar la solidez de la propuesta filosófica de Jürgen Habermas sobre el rol de la religión en la esfera pública. Metodología. Este producto de investigación, reconstruye conceptual y hermenéuticamente la perspectiva de Habermas acerca del rol de la religión en la esfera pública, en especial en lo referente a la categoría filosófica de lo político. Tres casos de la jurisprudencia de la Corte Constitucional de Colombia”. Objetivo. En esta investigación se buscó determinar la solidez de la propuesta filosófica de Jürgen Habermas sobre el rol de la religión en la esfera pública. Metodología. Este producto de investigación, reconstruye conceptual y hermenéuticamente la perspectiva de Habermas acerca del rol de la religión en la esfera pública, en especial en lo referente a la categoría filosófica de lo político. Resultados. Se mostrará que, según la argumentación de Habermas en su más reciente trabajo filosófico, la noción de lo político sí puede tener un lugar valioso al interior de una teoría política normativa de la democracia. Conclusiones. Se evidenciarán los riesgos, problemas y ventajas de mantener una noción tan controversial. This text is the result of the research project entitled “Analysis of Jurgen Habermas’ proposal about the role of religion in the public sphere: Three case-law cases of the Colombian Constitutional Court”. Objective: This research aimed to determine Habermas’ proposal soundness based on the role of religion in the public sphere. Methodology: This research product presents the conceptual and hermeneutic reconstruction of Habermas’ perspective about the role of religion in the public sphere, especially in relation to the philosophical category of “the political”. Results: It will be shown that, according to Habermas’ argumentation in his most recent philosophical work, the notion of the political can have a valuable place inside the political theory of democracy. Conclusion: The risks, problems and advantages of keeping such a controversial notion will also be evidenced.
