RESUMEN El liderazgo se asocia a la capacidad de incidir en diversos factores para lograr un objetivo determinado. Este, se ha adoptado por diferentes disciplinas, especialmente en las ciencias administrativas, y se ha asociado a la búsqueda del cumplimiento de los fines o metas de las empresas, en cuyo funcionamiento se presenta la productividad. El principal objetivo es conocer la incidencia del liderazgo en la productividad del capital humano, y, en el cumplimento de objetivos de la empresa. El principal objetivo es conocer la incidencia del liderazgo en la productividad del capital humano, y, en el cumplimento de objetivos de la empresa. La revisión se centró en analizar el liderazgo y la productividad; y también, detallar la incidencia desde las teorías de motivación de las personas, relacionado con las necesidades humanas. El trabajo concluye en considerar que un elemento crucial en todas las organizaciones exitosas está en las personas que la integran, y en ellas, la motivación y el desempeño laboral dependen de la satisfacción de sus necesidades como individuos y congruencia de la organización.
