  Se realizó el inventario físico de los ejemplares del género Ameiva presentes en la colección herpetológica del Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática, La Habana, Cuba. Se detectaron errores en números de etiquetas y tarjetas repetidas o faltantes. A partir de arreglar los errores se confeccionaron 93 tarjetas y 224 etiquetas nuevas; se catalogaron 51 ejemplares que se introdujeron en hojas de Excel; se preparó el catálogo en procesador de texto y soporte digital. Se detectaron las 28 subespecies del género descritas para Cuba, con 553 especímenes recolectados en las 15 provincias y el municipio especial Isla de la Juventud; las provincias que tienen mayor número son Pinar del Río y Matanzas y menor número La Habana y Artemisa. Lizards of the genus Ameiva were examined at the herpetological collection of the Ecology and Systematics Institute, La Habana, Cuba. Several mistakes in the numbers of labels and cards were found that were repaired. Starting from the reparation we prepared 93 new cards and 294 new labels; 51 specimens were catalogued and were included in an Excel sheet for the first time. Digital text catalogue were prepared. All the 28 subspecies of the genus described for Cuba were detected, with 553 specimens obtained in the 15 provinces and the Isla de la Juventud. Provinces with more number of specimens are Pinar del Río and Matanzas, with lesser numbers in La Habana and Artemisa. Collectors who have contributed with more collections are Orlando H. Garrido (183), Miguel L. Jaume (141) and Luis V. Moreno (115). The period of more captures was from 1960 to 1979 (475) and the lesser captures were from 2000 to present (15).
