Cooperative Learning for Reading Together To Learn Together

This article presents the theoretical background of reading as a skill and the different dimensions it involves, also cooperative learning as a tool to improve English reading and speaking skills. In this sense, it proposes the “Reading-Together-To-Learn-Together” technique that emerged from reading comprehension workshops included in the investigation. The workshops focused on learning by practice: reading and speaking. This technique shows how reading short stories improves both reading and speaking skills among ESL students. The study was a qualitative research and implemented action research.
