Sumario:
El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar y comprender desde la fenomenología existencial, las manifestaciones y cambios en el ser de las personas con cáncer en fase terminal. Para el estudio se utilizo el método cualitativo, aplicando la técnica de entrevista en profundidad. Se seleccionaron cuatro personas, tres mujeres y un hombre, que estaban como pacientes en el Instituto Cancerológico de Medellín. Se encontró que estas personas se confrontan con la muerte, llevándolos a tomar conciencia de sentimientos de desamparo, miedo, indefensión y soledad.
