Interoceptive information involves focusing a person's attention on internal bodily processes, such as gastrointestinal, cardiac, and respiratory sensations. Different questionnaires have been used to assess interoceptive sensitivity, and the objective of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Body Perception Questionnaire Short Form (BPQ-sf). A total of 276 adults between the ages of 18 and 77 years participated in the study. The online version of the BPQ-sf adapted by Cabrera et al. (2018) was used. The results demonstrate that the three-factor model presented by Cabrera et al. has adequate fit indices. However, in the present study, a simpler structure is proposed by removing the cross-loading of item 41, which enhances its usability in clinical contexts owing to easier interpretation.
