Según el Diccionario de la Lengua Española (2001), una de las acepciones del vocablo olvido es el “descuido de algo que se debía tener presente” (p. 1620). Es justo la idea clave y el objetivo de este texto, discutir las razones por las que los maestros y maestras olvidaron– y todavía siguen olvidando–la literatura infantil en el área de educación física. Para ello, y con base en el referencial teórico de Botelho (2010a), se presenta la problemática que enmarca la discusión.
