La economía migratoria ha dado un giro significativo en cuanto al tránsito de migrantes y su influencia en el país. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo debatir la economía migratoria que se enfrentan los ciudadanos en la travesía por la selva del Darién. Para ello, la investigación se establece con un enfoque cualitativo con diseño de investigación exploratorio, ya que se buscó abordar nuevos conocimientos relacionado con el supuesto negocio lucrativo que se puede estar dando bajo las prácticas migratorias en Centroamérica. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo debatir la economía migratoria que se enfrentan los ciudadanos en la travesía por la selva del Darién. Para ello, la investigación se establece con un enfoque cualitativo con diseño de investigación exploratorio, ya que se buscó abordar nuevos conocimientos relacionado con el supuesto negocio lucrativo que se puede estar dando bajo las prácticas migratorias en Centroamérica. La investigación permitió también conocer la perspectiva de una parte de la población en cuanto a la economía que se maneja el atravesar por la espesa selva del Darién, mediante la recolección de datos, a través de una encuesta como técnica para la recolección de la información, que abarcó 30 personas con criterio formado. Los resultados se determinaron que los efectos de la economía migratoria repercuten al país ya que a pesar de los esfuerzos que hacen los migrantes para atravesar la selva el abuso que enfrentan y los altos costos que le cobran para conseguir alguna ayuda necesaria no es suficiente. Por tal motivo, Panamá genera auxilio para brindarles a los migrantes ayudas humanitaria. Todo esto podría mejorar siempre y cuando las autoridades estatales tengan la voluntad de hacerlo en conjunto con los países involucrados por el bien de los migrantes y los nacionales. The migratory economy has taken a significant turn in terms of the transit of migrants and their influence on the country. The objective of this study is to discuss the migratory economy faced by citizens in the journey through the Darien jungle. For this purpose, the research is established with a qualitative approach with an exploratory research design, since it sought to address new knowledge related to the alleged lucrative business that may be occurring under the migratory practices in Central America. The research also allowed to know the perspective of a part of the population regarding the economy that is managed by crossing the thick jungle of the Darien, through the collection of data, through a survey as a technique for the collection of information, which covered 30 people with formed criteria. The results determined that the effects of the migratory economy have repercussions for the country, since in spite of the efforts made by migrants to cross the jungle, the abuse they face and the high costs they are charged to get the necessary help is not enough. For this reason, Panama generates aid to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants. All this could improve as long as the state authorities have the will to do it together with the countries involved for the good of the migrants and the nationals.
