Las elecciones constituyentes en Chile fueron una sorpresa que volvió a poner en cuestión las predicciones de los expertos. Los independientes y las mujeres derrotaron a los partidos desconectados de las necesidades y exigencias de las nuevas generaciones, que protestaron en las calles antes de la pandemia. La derecha no logró los votos necesarios para vetar la asamblea constituyente, y la inclinación política del país parece haber cambiado con el surgimiento de nuevas fuerzas más atentas a las aspiraciones y anhelos de la población.
