Esta comunicación tiene como propósito expresar en pocas palabras la experiencia recogida en esta última década entre la problemática de los residuos y la vinculación social de la Universidad, en contextos de pobreza estructural. Escenarios de exclusión social donde el problema ambiental urbano adquiere nuevas formas territoriales, es decir, comunitarias. La universidad se encontró entonces con la necesidad de dar respuesta tanto en materia ambiental frente al tratamiento de los propios residuos como también interpelar la realidad social de los trabajadores urbanos del conurbano metropolitanos de Buenos Aires. Esta comunicación tiene como propósito expresar en pocas palabras la experiencia recogida en esta última década entre la problemática de los residuos y la vinculación social de la Universidad, en contextos de pobreza estructural. Escenarios de exclusión social donde el problema ambiental urbano adquiere nuevas formas territoriales, es decir, comunitarias. La universidad se encontró entonces con la necesidad de dar respuesta tanto en materia ambiental frente al tratamiento de los propios residuos como también interpelar la realidad social de los trabajadores urbanos del conurbano metropolitanos de Buenos Aires. El camino no ha sido sencillo, pero la experiencia ha sido más que valiosa. En este sentido, se comparte algunos resultados y se ponen a discusión el caso de UBA VERDE.
The purpose of this communication is to express in a few words the experience gathered in the last decade between the problem of waste and the social connection of the University, in contexts of structural poverty. Scenarios of social exclusion where the urban environmental problem acquires new territorial forms, that is, community. The university was then faced with the need to respond in environmental matters to the treatment of the waste itself and also to question the social reality of urban workers in the metropolitan suburbs of Buenos Aires. The road has not been easy, but the experience has been more than valuable. In this sense, some results are shared and the case of UBA VERDE is discussed.
