AMBIENS. Revista Iberoamericana Universitaria en Ambiente, Sociedad y Sustentabilidad es unapublicación reciente que reúne miradas y puntos sensibles del campo complejo de la sustentabilidadambiental en contextos regionales, próximos a nuestras comunidades que cuenta además con otracaracterística: el trabajo colaborativo y en red en el que un grupo de personas acompañadas porsus instituciones asumieron la responsabilidad de iniciar y fortalecer la voz de nuestras realidadesambientales. Todo ello con la simple meta de difundir conocimiento y experiencias que fortalezcannuestro vínculo con el ambiente y con su naturaleza social.Esta propuesta editorial surge gracias al apoyo de nuestras políticas académicas, que nos permitenposicionarnos en este lugar de privilegio al generar AMBIENS y tomar contacto con tanta riquezaacadémica e intelectual, que es al tiempo una realidad erosionada o mediada por geometrías del podertecnológico que echan mano a la apropiación de recursos naturales en sus diversas formas, a cualquiercosto social y ecológico.No obstante, aquí estamos más allá de la complejidad del saber y de su ejercicio tecnocrático. Enestos tiempos presentes no olvidamos el objetivo que nos reúne: aportar conocimiento para un mundomejor.El desafío de este proyecto editorial, no es menor. Es un intento de autodeterminación colectivapara re pensar al conocimiento científico en post de una mejor sociedad, más justa y con equidad quepor supuesto, nos mueve desde nuestro quehacer científico de intercambiar resultados, métodos yexperiencias. Nos mueve igualmente, la posibilidad de discutir sobre nuestro rol universitario y susavances en la gestión ambiental integrada, en nuestra relación con la comunidad toda, y en proponerinnovación para nuestras áreas o problemáticas ambientales rurales o urbanas que son cada vez másurgentes.En este tercer número, como cual rudimentario navío que sale al mar abierto, se expresaron losvientos permanentes y los regionales que por momentos nos llevaron a la desorientación y casi alnaufragio. Pero como expedicionarios del siglo XVI empecinados por la búsqueda del Dorado, alentadospor una ilusión, o mejor por un sueño, llegamos a tierra firme. AMBIENS. Revista Iberoamericana Universitaria en Ambiente, Society and Sustainability is a recent publication that gathers looks and sensitive points of the complex field of environmental sustainability in regional contexts, close to our communities that also has another feature: collaborative work and networking in which a group of People accompanied by their institutions assumed the responsibility of initiating and strengthening the voice of our environmental realities. All this with the simple goal of disseminating knowledge and experiences that strengthen our relationship with the environment and its social nature. This editorial proposal arises thanks to the support of our academic policies, which allow us to position ourselves in this privileged place by generating AMBIENS and making contact with so much academic and intellectual wealth, which is at the same time a reality eroded or mediated by the geometries of the technological power that make use of the appropriation of natural resources in their various forms, at any social and ecological cost. However, here we are beyond the complexity of knowledge and its technocratic exercise. In these present times we do not forget the objective that brings us together: to provide knowledge for a better world. The challenge of this editorial project is no less. It is an attempt of collective self-determination to re-think scientific knowledge in post of a better society, more just and equitable than, of course, it moves us from our scientific work to exchange results, methods and experiences. We are also moved by the possibility of discussing our university role and its advances in integrated environmental management, in our relationship with the whole community, and in proposing innovation for our rural or urban environmental areas or issues that are increasingly more urgent. In this third issue , like a rudimentary ship that goes out to the open sea, the permanent and regional winds were expressed that at times led us to disorientation and almost wreckage.
