La fundamentación física aportada a la humanidad por investigadores en diferentes áreas y ramas del saber a lo largo de la historia, las teorías desarrolladas por Max Planck, Albert Einstein a comienzos del siglo XX, las continúas y recientes investigaciones sobre propiedades de la materia y sus aplicaciones, han abierto un gran campo de estudio para aportar al desarrollo tecnológico que en la actualidad se está utilizando mundialmente. El láser es resultado de estos aportes investigativos; el estudio sobre sus múltiples aplicaciones nos llevan a mencionarlo como un dispositivo de gran utilidad en la revolución tecnológica del momento.
