El presente artículo es producto de la revisión teórica realizada en el desarrollo de una investigación sobre la percepción que tienen los docentes en el uso las TIC dentro del aula de clase, las apreciaciones que este ha asumido, el papel que debe desempeñar frente en su quehacer pedagógico, se describen las características del nuevo perfil en la sociedad del conocimiento y los aspectos que afectan de manera positiva o negativa su responsabilidad en reto del proceso educativo.
