En el presente artículo de revisión, se presentan los resultados de una investigación acerca de los nuevos escenarios de acción que se abrieron para el periodista deportivo con la transformación de los medios de comunicación y la convergencia digital. Para ello, se acogió el método cualitativo para describir, argumentar e interpretar el fenómeno, y se realizó una indagación bibliográfica de libros, artículos científicos y bases de datos sobre las siguientes categorías de estudio: periodismo deportivo, convergencia tecnológica, contenidos y rutinas periodísticas. La revisión de los antecedentes permite constatar que hasta el momento son pocas las investigaciones sobre el tema a nivel global y todavía menos en Colombia.

This review paper presents the results of a research about the new scenarios of action that were opened for the sports journalist with the transformation of the media and digital convergence. Methodologically, the qualitative method was assumed for describing and interpreting the phenomenon. Also, a bibliographic review on books, scientific articles and databases was conducted on the following categories of study: sports journalism, technological convergence and journalistic contents and routines.
