El arte funerario es quizás uno de los episodios más satisfactorios en el campo de la arquitectura y escultura, y conforma un elemento inherente al hombre; se expone en sus piezas, su práctica y en un oficio difícil de heredar el arte honorífico. Por esta razón, participan en la presente actividad investigativa varios individuos como artistas fúnebres locales, artistas plásticos, escultores locales e internacionales, estudiantes, profesionales; quienes, además de ubicarse en los alrededores del barrio Santa Fe, en la localidad de los Mártires, Bogotá-Colombia, están relacionados con el necro-turismo. Esta importancia e influencia posibilitan la comprensión de los artistas fúnebres existentes, el camino hacia el necro-turismo y la oportunidad de promover una experiencia diferente de la ciudad.
