Bronchial lipomas are rare tumors, being between 0.1 and 0.5% of all pulmonary benign neoplasms. Bronchial lipomas are infrequently and occur mainly in men between 50 and 60 years of age being more frequent on the right side. They are benign lesions with a good prognosis, since patients are expected to survive more than 10 years after the procedure, but they can cause serious local complications related to airway obstruction. Bronchoscopic ablation is the best treatment. We present the case of a 65-year-old man who resected a lipoma of the left main bronchus by rigid bronchoscopy and electrosurgery.
