We report one case of mucoepidermoid carcinoma, operated with resection and end to end anastomosis. Malignant tumors of the trachea are extremely rare, with an estimated incidence of 1 for every 180 cases of lung cancer. The majority of the patients consulted for having longstanding dyspnea, usually several months before being diagnosed, and very frequently, due to the presence of wheezing, their diagnosis is confounded with bronchial asthma. The most common variety of malignant neoplasm of the trachea is adenoid cystic carcinoma, followed in frequency by squamous cell carcinoma, and finally mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
