Sumario:
Los mesoteliomas son tumores malignos poco frecuentes que pueden afectar la pleura, el pericardio, el peritoneo y la túnica vaginal testicular. El mesotelioma testicular es una entidad extremadamente rara, que comprende menos del 5 % de todos los mesoteliomas, por lo que no existe un protocolo de tratamiento específico y, por ende, el manejo adyuvante aún no está del todo definido y se basa predominantemente en los esquemas utilizados en el manejo del mesotelioma pleural. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino en la octava década de la vida, con antecedente de masa escrotal derecha de más de dos años de evolución, a quien se le realizan estudios histopatológicos, con hallazgo de mesotelioma testicular.
